Default 383 stroker guys... need help!

hey guys im trying to figure out what the deal with this car that iw ant to buy is. its a 95 camaro z28 with a 383 stroker kit.. heres what its got.
-speed pro flat top pistons
-eagle rods+crank
-bored .30 over
-CC306 cam
-stock LT1 ported heads
-4.56 gears with new eaton posi
-viper T-56 tranny kit
-centerforce clutch
-hooker shorties
-port matched stock intake
-stock valves
-powermaster starter
-Nitto drag radials on chrome C6s
-crane cam 1.5 roller rockers
....the guy wants 6k for it and hes local to me. my question is how much power should this be putting down? he said it is in need of a tune but never got it tuned for performance, he only tuned it enough so that it would idle. is there anything i should be wary of? Thanks - josh

If it still has stock injectors it won't rev very high. Get a real tune once you know the injectors are big enough.

well he told me it dynoed around 320 to the wheels, he said with longtubes, bigger TB, and bigger injectors it would make a world of difference. how big would the injectors need to be do you think? you think SVO 30lb injectors would be enough?

30lb SVOs would be fine for that application.

this setup should be making a lot more power wouldnt you say? or is that normal for a car with such restrictions?

depends on how much porting was actually done to the heads. Looks like it's making "decent" power.

it sounds like youre going to have to put in at least another 2k before you feel like you have really arrived in the 383 stroker land.. with the tune and finishing up the port job and replacing anything thats still stock (not the heads themselves) on that top end. At least I would do it but it might not be the right thing to do. Im sure you would notice a huge change .. does the car look good? Got any pics?

oh man, i drove the car last night. that thing hauls ***! the only thing is it has 4.56 gears in it. gas mileage is gonna be a bitch and a half until i change those out, but i can deal. the sound system in it is completely custom. he has a custom built box that goes where the ttops should go. it has some huge amp and other thing that i dont know what it is! he says something about loudness contests that he wins... ive never heard of those but after hearing that thing i believe it.
the car is way louder than i thought it would be with only those shorty headers. he started it up in the parking lot of the mall and some girl was walking to her car and heard the car start and jumped and let out a little yelp!
...i cant even imagine how loud that thing must be with longtubes and true duals. i gotta buy it.

souds like you are sold. 320 at the wheels means its still making a lot more at the motor, so with longtubes and injectors, and tb and a tune you will have a humungoid increase in rwhp. for $6k? how many miles are on the body? it doesn't sound like a bad deal if you ask me, why is buddy selling it again?

post pics please

it just turned 100k on the body, and the guy is selling it cuz he is trying to move out of his house and get a place with his girlfriend. that and he has a 91 z28 and a daily driver already. it does have a few problems. the guy that had it before him painted it red, then he got too many tickets so he re-painted it back to the mystic teal color, but he repainted it using maaco and its kinda peeling by the windows. the car runs fine tho, runs great actually. it would be a nice upgrade from the SS.... not to mention 1/3 of the price.

...which ill probly be eating in the long run on gas mileage, but who cares!
