AFR 195s
Need a little input on the AFR 195s. Thinking of getting a set (found on another site) to help wake up my little street engine. I have a set of LT1s ported by a SAM student and never really got a good answer on what they flowed. The seller says the AFRs flow 285/212 which I know my engine could take advantage of along with a set of a set of 1 3/4 long tubes, larger TB (still running 48 mm) and better tuneing. I would have to track down a LT4 intake also. I guess my main question is about my cam (in the sig). This is my daily driver and I want to keep the cam streetable. I know there would probably be a better choice of cams but how much better considering what I mentioned above. My times are ok but can be much better. Consistant 1.78 60 ft times can be improved with a gear change and a little higher stall. Would like to get the best times I can (of course) but 12.0 would tickle me pink. Thoughts? Comments? Am I headed in the right direction? Chime in if you can help.

The seller has them on hand. Purchased them new and never installed them. No waiting. I know its a deal considering his asking price. Just kinda wanted to know if the combination sounds right for my goal. Anyone can "spray" into a good ET. I wanna try and do it all motor. The combination is everything.

I have the 195's and like them, they have been cnc'ed though.
I am running about the same size cam as you, just a touch bigger.
My car being a b-body is heavier.
My car is a T56 with 4.56's.
I had 3.73's and it was fine, but a heavy car needs more gear.
My motor is not a stroker either, so that will help you out.
Give you a comparison.
My car is quicker from 60-100 NA than it was with the stock motor on 100 shot.
I say go for it.
Like above some hate AFR, I dont, they worked on my motor rather well.

science rules... bravado is for tools..
if you're getting a deal on the AFR's... buy them... unless someone
can produce flow numbers with similar port sizes that are superior...
