Default Emergency, help me please.

Alright, there was arcing(thats what you call it when you can see sparks around the coil right?) at my ignition coil(you could only see it from underneath with a mirror extension). I changed the ignition coil. today I went and filled up on gas, I drove it about 1 mile, then it started acting like it was running out of gas, sputtering, and it would go in and out.. from hardly any power(like running out of gas), then back to a decent margin of full power. it would do this back and forth. If I let it sit and cooldown for a minute, it wouldn't do it. Then, at night while it was cool, I drove it a good 4 miles without it doing it, but it definatly felt like I as losing alittle power.

I really need to know what this could be Asap.. I'm going to research with search, but I'm kind afucked if I can't figure this out asap(alittle too short on cash to throw it around taking it to a shop atm). It's my only car.

Oh, while it goes into the "lower power" mode kinda part, it idles quite a bit lower(around 450/500 rpms), the car never died though.

Sorry, one more thing, I don't know if my air/fuel gauge is messed up, but it is reading straight rich when it's doing this. All the way down to the last green, and it stays there, normally it flutters from 1 red to 2 green.

You know, you CAN edit posts LOL

Anyways, O2 sensor TOTALLY shot, MAF shot, or maybe the arcing fried the plugs/wires to the coil.

My $.02

When I had some arching around my coil, it turned out to the the coil wire. When I took it off and inspected it it was rusted. I would try replacing that to see if the arching goes away. I was battleing a high end stutter and it turned out to just be the coil wire.

Maybe take your coil off and clean up the bolt holes on it and the block with a wire brush, you might not be getting a good ground.

Woooooo Solved! I had two fouled plugs, and another in very bad shape. Also had two burnt wires(ones that weren't even making contact with headers). I replaced it all(OUCH MY ******* ARMS BETWEEN PULLEYS AND ****), and put protective covers over the wires.

The car runs like crackfed wolverine now, and sounds sick(the good kinda sick).

Speaking of which, in that other thread of me barely beating that mustang.. this means that I beat him with only 6 cylinders. ****** sweet.

Anyway, the 3rd cylinder dropping seems to be what made the car really die out, thanks alot ya'll.
