I hope this won't hijack the thread, so please continue to post pics of your new faces, but,...

Like Matt, I'm intrigued by SmokedOut's 200 MPH speedo, although my interest is a little more modest. I got a '93 Z28 cluster off of ebay to put in my '48 Chevy street rod ('95 Caprice LT-1 and 4L60E). Turns out the cluster is one of those 115MPH jobs which is unacceptable. I'm thinking about getting the 150 mph face, and am hoping the PCM can be reprogrammed to read correctly. SmokedOut, is that how you got the 200 MPH speedo to make sense? Anyone else know whether what I'm hoping for will work? (I intend to get TunerCat and do my own tuning...)

Thanks, in advance, anyone.

Cheers -- Gary

The 200 mph gauges are from Granatelli Motorsports. They just had a group purchase on them.

Yea I'm with burnzilla on this one white face guages unless it's a white car look and for all you haters I think it's great that you have the same thing that everyotherfbodyownerhasontheircargauges but not for me. C'mon it doesn't look bad and you really have no clue b/c you haven't seen them in my car
To begin with I only wanted the reverse of what came in the car b/c it woulda worked (red face with black slashes instead of black face with red slashes) but now that I have them in I wouldn't trade'em for any other set.

As scrmnws6 has said the overlay came from Granatelli Motorsports and they Programmed it to work accuratly to read 200mph. It will only work if you have a 97 + Cluster so it won't work for your app.

Now i can say from a personal experience when i had my 1990 Iroc that had a 110 speedo I was able to switch out the cluser from one with a 140 mph on it and it work correctly and accuratly. The same connections on the back of it look exactly the same as the connections on my 97, although the wiring maybe different it work.

Doubt it you'll ever see a 200 mph for 93-96s nobody really gives a crap about our cars unfortunately.

But yea, you can put a 97 cluster in but you have to swap the whole dash.

Dont know how much truth there is to having to swap the whole dash... I have a 96 and I just installed the 97 digital gauge cluster, and it works perfectly, no issues at all.
