LT1 Tranny conversion ?? i have the LT1 with auto tranny and i was wondering what mods i would need to do and buy to get the 6 spd tranny swap done ? also how much would it run me or would it be better to just install a shift kit ?
shift kit would be way cheaper...but dont do it, get it retuned if anything...the t56 sway with petals center console ect would prolly cost about 1600, and if you look in the for sale section theres a person selling one...

Just to clarify, $1600 if you install it. I wanted a 6spd, but couldn't find one for the right price. Take it from me, with a really well built transmission, you'll enjoy the hell out of it! 2nd gear rubber all the time is a blast ^_^ Depending on how far you go, 3rd gear is even more wild lol
I have one and will meet you half way from Waco to Houston and sell it for $1500 complete.
