383 stroker ext balance??
383 stroker ext balance?? hey guys im builing a 383 stroker and i went with a external balance crank. so my question is with a 8" balancer will i have problems clearing the opti? i hope not i am already commited to finish it with the money i have in it. and also what pulleys do you guys use and do you have problems with the serpentine lining up?

I hate being the bearer of bad news but I think your SOL on this one. The LT1 balancer and pulley are one in the same, so you are going to have to be internal on the front end of the crank. I don't know of any 8" external balancers with serpentine belt grooving. I would just wait on funds to buy another crank, as the scat and eagle stuff will cost less than a balance job with heavy metal to make what you have work. IF you can get the work done free there is still about $75 worth of heavy metal to make that crank internal up front. James

but i have fixed i think a two v belt set up because im not running ac set up. so hopefully it works.
