Default What convertor should i get?

i have a 94 automatic z28....running 11inch wheels in the back with nitto 555rs, and a 150 shot of nitrous.

auto feels sluggish, so to get rid of this drivetrain loss i need a Torque convertor right?

Which one should i buy, are the ones under 500 good for long term use and nitrous...i plan on next month putting on a cam and header.

what else do i need to buy to install a stall convertor?

You will need a trans jack atleast it makes it SO MUCH EASIER. Also a shift kit would be good to put in, and I would look into a Yank convertor. There a little more expensive but mine is so nice its tight like stock but when you floor the gas it shoots up to 3800 rpm.

I like my new SY3000. I hated the looseness of my ST3500. The ST3500 also caused problems with the computer (erratic VSS signal). OBD1 computers are really finicky with high stall converters... be aware when crossing the ~3200 stall line.

The nitrous will also raise the stall rating on a converter. Another reason to stay 'lower'.

Nothing beats gears for getting rid of sluggish feeling though.
