Default abs light disable?

I know that some of you all have disabled your abs light. I was told by someone that I could ground the wire going to the cluster but I'm not sure exactly what they were talking about. Could someone fill me in? I just want the details

thanx

Programmed out professionally? What did they use? Do you know if LT1edit can do it? I just checked my LT1edit user manual and didn't see it in there so, just wondering. I think I'll keep my ABS... Whats the benifit of getting rid of it???

Unless I missed it LT-1 edit won't take the light out. It's in the code but I don't know where.
Usually you get an ABS light when you put a 4th gen rear end in that wasn't made for the ABS set-up your running, mines set for 4 channel and I have a 3 channel system

wooops.. I goofed I guess.. I was thinking you were talking about eliminating the ABS for some reason. Didn't realize it was only about the light due to wrong parts. Dee-dee-dee!

ABS can't be programed out. It's a part of the ebtcm. The wire to the cluster can me grounded so that the light doesn't come on, I'm just not sure exactly how.

I have my rear ABS, but the front is gone. The light stays off until the kicks in, which rarely happens with the rear. I did that cause it stops a hell of alot quicker.

Just pull out the guage cluster, and pull out the bulb.

There is a wire you can ground to kill it but I don't remember which one it was. I think I found it somewhere on the web or maybe it's listed in the instructions of SJM's ABS delete kit. I might be able to find the papers sometime.

you don't nned to remove the cluster. Find the ebtcm module its a silver box approx. 6x7 inches under ther drivers side kick panel/dash area. there is a light green wire that goes into the b2 connector. ground that wire out and it will keep the light from coming on. the wires next to the light green are dark green and pink.

I guess cuz he doesn't have the pulsation of the brakes that ABS does. We had a 2000 Dodge that my dad was driving on ice once and he missed his turn because of ABS. He curses ABS all the time. I don't really like it either.
