Default Times from Beech Bend today

Aside from all the bullshit they had with the equipment today at Beech Bend, I managed to:

R/T: .115
60': 1.531
1/8: 7.135
1/4: 11.341
MPH 115.69

I was happy at the end. Only going to the track once a year kinda makes me hafta learn all over again. I gotta get out early next year. I ran with a shitty stall and unlocked 700r4 the whole time. I ran a 175 shot of nitrous (standalone was leaking so I ran it off the rail). I ran full timing on the 175. About 6 gallons of 93 mixed with 2 gallons of 110. I was even happier I didn't break anything.

Yep, I'm already psyched about next season. Not bad today for having the unlocked verter. I'll have the Probuilt tranny going in so that'll solve that part. Also running that big heavy d/s and the big *** 9". I plan on having some more suspension mods and a dyno tune for WOT power. Also gonna have the standalone working for the 250 shot! I'm gonna do some maintenence, replace oil pan and gaskets, stud the mains, and double check torque on the head bolts. Should be a solid setup by spring. I'm shooting for mid 10's with the 250 and a 1.4x 60'.

I hope I can get it down there. Might need to pickup a two step too. Weight reduction will be big as well. Just don't wanna strip it down too bad.

Thats an ineresting time. Looks like the motor was laying down a little on the top end with that 60ft and 1/8mi time, I would think you would have a higher MPH. Maybe 118 or so.

Nice short time, what rear end do you have in the car?

It's a Moser 9" rear, 4.11 gear, Auburn diff, and 31 spline Moser axles. Also Denny's Nitrous Ready Shaft and 1350 chromemoly pinion yoke. About the top end, it's possible that I shifted outside my peak powerband. I was manual shifting it at 6600. Once I get on the dyno for some WOT tuning, I'll have a better idea about shifting it. It's also possible the MPH is not accurate cuz they were having probs with the equipment. One guy "went" 220 MPH after they got it "going" again.

Why are you manually shifting? I just dail mine in and adjust as needed.

If it all works out it should look some thing like this

Well it's a 700r4 right now, the Probuilt will be going into the Z with my motor. Then I will be utilizing the electronic shift.

You need to get it tuned, something is horribly wrong. A high comp 396 with a medium large cam, and 175 shot only running low 11s and 115 mph?

I ran 11s @ 116 with a stock rotating assy and no nitrous on stock ported heads and a smaller cam with a much worse 60. Maybe I'm missing something here, but its not adding up. You should be well into the 10s (close to 9s) with your setup unless your at 12309471423124 foot DA.
