Default LT1 not running????

My friend is having a problem with his 94 LT 1. He has replaced the cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires. He also found out the fuel pump wasn't working so he replace that as well. When we went to start it, it acts as though it wants to start but doesn't. We can get it to run for just a second but then it dies. The car did throw a code but we are not sure what code it is yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to mention that he did have the tranny rebuilt and he drove it home but it started to run like crap right before he got it home. Thanks for any help. I would like to help him if I could because he is kind of new to camaros and I don't want his first camaro to be disappointing

optis are pretty sensitive and often cap and rotor replacements dont work. usually you need to get a new opti
