Braking Problems With LT4 Hotcam?!?! Im curious if anyone else who has installed the lt4 hotcam kit has experienced any kind of braking problems? i didn't think that this cam was near big enough to cause vaccum trouble but maybe i was wrong... anyone else with this problem??

I figured it would be a leak somewhere else... anyone know how to check the booster? ive check all the other lines, and they all seem fine... it brakes fine when your driving it and coming to a light the pedal just seems soft when im at a stop trying to hold the car... any ideas?

Yea the car was mail order tuned, and i had the EGR and AIR pumps deleted, all of these lines are plugged, and all the hoses seem to have no cracks, i even pulled some of the lines off and blew through them to make sure nothing some how got in there and was blocking air flow, no lines are cracked.. im kinda at loss.. im starting to think maybe my calipers or brake lines...
well if your were low on vacuum your pedal wouldn't feel soft it would be just the opposite it would feel hard as a rock and kind of numb feeling if it feels soft then you have air bubbles in the brake lines somewhere and they need to be bled or you are leaking brake fluid from somewhere, see if you cant get your hands on a vacuum gauge i would think at idle with that cam you should be anywhere from 14-17 inches at hot idle
I dont think tuning would make much deference in the breaks, I've been driving my car for 2 months now, with a ton of mods, but couldnt tune it Yet, A/F ratio is fine so Im not really worried, point is breaks are fine.

Good to know. I cant believe i didnt think a little harder about the brakeing situation and pedal firmness without vaccum 
i guess i will let it go till spring when i put new brakes and i will just bleed them too and check the calipers to be safe. thx for the help everyone

could go even bigger and get the corvette c5 brakes from UMI... hehe... Yeah, you have to change the spindle to be able to bolt in the LS1 calipers, and obviously you'll have the larger LS1 rotors too.,
not for C5 brakes. you need at least 17" rim for them.
the LS1 brakes yes, because the LS1 Z28 came with 16" rims.
