Default spohn torque arm questions

So I have the spohn adj. torque arm on the car with the crossbrace. It seems to bang around alot. I don't have the instuctions in front of me, but I seem to remember them saying to not tighten the side plates on the mount. It seems like it has side to side motion though up there. Or is it banging front to back?

I guess I'm wondering if its supposed to bang around this much. If I got the spherical rod end for it would it make it any better?
I have to pull the clutch out like I'm 80 in order to not get it to slam it seems, sometimes during deceleration it slams around a lot also. I only have the preload set to -.5 if that, I was aiming to zero it out last time I adjusted it.

I've already asked this in the suspension chunck of the site awhile back but didn't get many answers, hopefully something comes up here. Thanks -Corey

The rod end will not make it better, that is for sure!! I got that on my track only car it is almost too noisy, more than open headers.

If you read the instructions there is part of it that is supposed to be tightened up some, cant remember right off hand but one part is to be and the other is not.

Double check all bolts to make sure they are tight and have not backed out.

what he said, its supposed to be snug so that it has minimal movement but can move a little

^Does yours make a lot of racket?

yeah I'll try to get under there this weekend, it sounds like it bangs side to side, and I mean all I have to do is start decelerating and it slams around under there. Sometimes while accelerating/decelerating I probably look like a jackass. Its def. audible.

not too much really, only about once every 7 or 8 times i drive it at most, try retightening all the bolts and work that section you were talkin about where the cross member attatches to the torque arm
