On the long tubes. Dont let these guys fool you. I have done long tubes a few times and everytime it has been easier to loosen the k-member about 2 inches for clearence and take the long bolt that holds the motor to the mount out. Raise the motor about 3 inches and you have all the room you could ever want. it will save you a lot of time and fustration and scratches to your new headers Now on the drivers side. It's easy. All you have to do is remove the steering linkage and slide it in fron the top.

What about a CAI. Id do that after headers.

usually most would do that before headers.

it took me about 10 hours total to put my LT's in. it was the first set of headers ive ever done and it was a huge pain. feeling the rumble when i first started it up with the uncapped headers made it all worth it though.

i COMPLETELY agree with this. I did it on my passenger side. Everyone makes LTs sound like a pain in the *** because you *might* have to do that. Unmounting the engine was surprisingly easy, Id do it everytime from now on for the above reasons.
