Default Power Adder Help.

How many of you are running stock bottom end with boost or spray. Also I know lt1s do well with spray on the stock bottom end. I wanna run 5 psi but dont wannt ruin the engine. How much harder is 5 psi compared to 150 shot?

Well on 5 psi of boost you will see an even steady increase in power and torque but with spray you will see an immeadiate gain in peak torque as soon as you spray and it will always be 100+foot pounds more than the horsepower shot you have as long as it is over a 100 shot. I have been spaying a long time on my motor and I havent had any problems. My brother has a 150 shot and it handles it like it's not anything. We tried a 200 shot and his car pulled harder than a jet. And that was on a stock LT1 with headers and 410's. He ran on a tune ,longtubes and a 410's and slicks +150 shot a 11.21 1/4 mile stock motor with no air filter and no cat.

So do you guys think that 5 psi would kill the life of my motor with all the supporting mods/dynotune all the goods?

It will handle the 5psi just fine for a long time. Only thing is, 5psi of boost isnt going to get you a 150hp gain.
I ran 10psi intercooled on a stock motor for a long time, made 450rwhp 430 lb-ft..

Boost presents a durability issue vs. N20 because its always there making boost as soon as you get up in throttle position. Where as with N20 your not spraying all the time so it will of course last longer.

Okay Im planning a front mount intercooler as well on this thing too. I may shoot for 10 psi on it safetly. As long as I keep my foot steady I hope it will hold up fine.
