Need to beat SC 350z
300 stock so maybe 250 at the wheels. so thats an 80 whp increase and hes probably on low boost, maybe through an auto.
Seems low but I can see how maybe thats all hes puttin down.
You can run it extremely safely and it'll give you more than enough for that 350Z

It's cheap, easy, and won't need any supporting mods other than LT's
My 96 SS 6-speed, did 345 RWHP & 346 RWTQ and ran 12.9-13.1 @ 110 mph on this exact set up. Figure $1,500-1,700 if you buy every thing new (hot cam kit, hooker coated lt's,). This also allows for a dyno tune. The best way is to find a used set of LT's and buy the hot cam kit new, mainly because it's all together and you konw you are getting the right stuff. I had well over 20,000 trouble free miles with that kit, and I shifted at 6,200 RPM too many times a day to even attempt to put a number on. All this was done to a stock engine at 65,000+ miles.
Good luck, and enjoy stoming out that z.
A cam and head package is the best way to go, but for a mostly street stock car on a limited budget I still support the hot cam.
A well rounded 383 bottom end will be well over $900, and if i were going to do a stroker i would do it right the first time and go fully forged. Then you have to worry about head and cam packages to support it, if your just looking for a cheap way to beat him now, the 100 shot is the best way, its safe if installed correctly and wont hurt your motor and again the best bang for the buck. Stay away from that stroker kit you are looking at though, too cheap and you will wind up hurting your motor with that.
