I've always been wary of using the Impala head gasket, because it was designed for iron heads. Will it chew the aluminum head? That's a question I've never been willing to answer myself... I am just running Fel Pros.

How much compression exactly do these gaskets raise. For instance i have 11.4 pistons right now with stock gaskets. how much would it raise with impala or mr. gasket gaskets?

For those looking for a headgasket for an LT1 that runs N/A & n2o you should try the Cometics. I ordered mine .030 so the compression will be 11.7.1 which will work great both N/A (pumpgas) and n2o. I just recieved mine and they look great, I have used these on other race engines but this is the first set for my LT1. I will have some results for you guys later on this month. Clint
