Prolly less. All the F-bodies have been losing value, especially the LT1.

Its only worth what you can get for it. (not trying to be a smart ***) I like my car too much and have too much into it to let it go for what the bank value is I'd rather let it sit and collect dust. But sometimes you get somebody that falls in love with something and has to have it.

I have a 1996 T/A 6 Speed, white with cloth, t-tops, bone stock, 110k, extremely clean and I only paid $4500 (bought it a month ago), so I would say with yours being a year newer $5-6 k would be reasonable.

I think a lot depends on where you live. Around here LT1 f bodys are pretty cheap $3k to 5k top for a near stock one in decent shape. Its pretty sad really, I tested the waters a couple of months back but no one wanted to give me anything close to what I needed to part with it. So looks like Im gonna be keeping her.

jeez i think you guys are underestimating the value a little bit. with it being a '97, i would say $6,000-$6,5000 (give or take just a little). i can see a '93-'95 being much less but the '97s are the optimal year for the LT1s. the exhaust is different and the opti's are redesigned from the previous years. that T-56 also helps with the value! new tires will increase it's resale, as well! if you take care of it, then i would definitely say it's in the 6 grand range. i have yet to see an LT1 f-body in the $4,000 range, unless it's complete trash...

It's sad what happens about car values. In most cases, the older the car, the more miles it has on it, the less it is worth.

At this point it is probably worth more to you than anyone else. As long as you still want the car, and it drives well, is in good repair, I'd keep it

thats like saying "hes the smartest kid in the special needs class" sorry couldnt resist

the value is very determined on where you live. midwest price for that car is $4000-5000 if it is in immaculate shape. a friend sold a supercharged Z28 M6 3 years ago for $6000

I live in the northeast, lt1s and ls1s are pricey around here. You'd be lucky to find a '98 auto ls1 camaro for $10k. I guess its just location.

Same with Cali. If you have a good condition, decent mileage LT1, you could sell it for $10 around here

Alot of sad statements in here. I agree and disagree on some accounts.

Im a car dealer, and Ill tell you this.

I think LT1's will start to actually start going back up in value.
Just like LS1's.
Camaro's and Firebirds , when kept clean and have a V-8, will only lose so much value.

No matter what generation, people will pay alot for a certain car. 4th Gens are plentiful, but even now I see less and less of them.

As the years go by, people will start to want them and it will be hard to find ones that where cared for.
This happens to all cars, but you must understand, Fbodies are rebels in disguise and not the average car.
I'll never forget the first time I drove mine home. Never.
I have never had another car do that to me.
