Another vote for Joe if you can find him...I did talk to his head porter Eric Bradby (E.B. Porting) and he talks to Joe frequently...Erics number is 804-966-9077...I used Eric to do my heads and Joe for the cam and I couldn't be happier with the number I put up with the weenie cam...

Does bret give you a cam card or at least tell you what the cam is? I have heard he doesnt and it would suck for a tuner to try and tune it blind. That is why im not running one in my little stroker.

I will second Advanced Induction my whale has gone 11.9s on a stock shortblock, yes I pulled the belt and a little weight but also carry around a lot more weight and it is a stock unmolested shortblock.
I think the 10:1 and AFR are mistakes though and both will hold you back. The iron head LT1 was 10:1 and programmed for 87 octane. Nitrous likes compression so that was no reason to build it low.

Well..... yes the cam card comes with the cam. FWIW a tuner doesn't need to know the cam specs and Bryan and Alvin, Ion and Ed all have seen my stuff before so they all know where to start from. A tuners job is to give the motor what it wants.

If you heard that I don't then go back and smack the **** who told you that because he knows exactly dick.

Bret told me what my cam specs are. Maybe he likes me more than other folks.

Then again, maybe not.

You got a lot of choices for suctom cams, Futral Motor Sports also has done some very very impresive cars.

Exactly, the main reason for that is a lot of people just use a cam similar in specs and go from there or just use that tune.

BTW do you think there is any point in doing a custom cam without knowing the head flow #'s? I'm thinking about the 847 but I'm open to ideas.
