Default Exhaust

A buddy of mine told me tonight that he would give me $200 cash for my magnaflow (I bought it for quite a bit less then that two years ago LOL).

I am ordering some Pacesetter LT's from Speed inc next week.

I was thinking....

If I do not order the y-pipe, that saves me a tad over $100, sell him the magnaflow (he will also take it off my car) I then will have $300.

I started thinking about a true dual system for my car and that would be just about plenty of money (know of a local shop that is cheap but does good work and put my magnaflow on).

I was thinking about a twin 3 inch system (no cats) that dumpes just before the rear end.

My problem is mufflers. I like the Borla XR-1's, how loud are these in a stock H/C CUI LT1 just driving around town? Are they still police stalk me loud? Or would the dynomax bullets be a better choice?
Car is full bolt ons, geared, stalled, sprayed, tuned, ect ect.

Car only gets about 1k miles a year.

Anyone know how loud they are just taking it easy around town?

I know guys that have been pulled over around here for exhaust but they were on the gas pretty good.

At one of the cruise in spots the city Police hang around but as long as you put put around and you are not top fuel loud they will not say anything.

A buddy of min is almost po stock loud and he gets pulled over all the time (selling the car).

His exhaust at idle is almost Borla XR-1 at WOT lol.

Bullets would be just as loud. Check out the vids to see which you like better and go with that IMO

They are sick.

I had them on my Bolton LT1 last year, right of the header collector too, well 8'' pipe then the XR1s.

The downsides are....they have HUGE outer casings, its like 6'' around, and they are spendy. Mine had less then 2'' of clearance.

Here is what I decided to go with next season:

Pics are a little big, sorry.

Tony.

They are oval, a lot smaller, and cheaper.

These are 3 1/2 in/out though, you can probly find 3in/out.

I chose these because of the oval, and its going to dicapate the sound more then compared to a straight bullet style. Even though these are staright through...
