Default clutch slippage

Here is what I have: Spec stage 3 Plus.
Here is the problem: If I launch at idle and let the clutch engage and then hammer it, the clutch holds, if I launch at say 4500 and power shift, it goes straight to the rev limiter. This is the second clutch set up spec has sent me. the first was an experimental set that they admitted to having problems. someone said I needed the drill mod but I thought that was only on LS1's.

No, It starts grabbing a few inches off the floor....I have had other clutches and they did the same thing, so I assume that it has to be in the Hydraulics.

no problems with mine here.... what flywheel do you have? Alluminum or Steel?

Try to resurface the flywheel to see what that does.

This is the third flywheel, each time a complete new package was installed, Clutch, Pressure Plate and steel Flywheel...so I dont think that is it.

Don't believe the fluid got hot enough, it was cold that night and ran the engine just enough to get it warmed up in the staging lanes..Doesnt make sence, If I let it engage then hammer down it will hold, but when Power Shifted it doesnt even grab at all. Here is the kicker. On the first launch, I let her rip at 4500 rpm. it grabbed and started to lift the front wheels then let go. I am thinking of possibly making a larger return line from the slave to the master cylinder. The clutch package is new, I put around 1000 street miles to break it in before I went to the track....

Welp T-56's should not be power shifted, Powershifting breaks transmissions.

From now on do NOT power shift. if it holds, its not slipping, parts are breaking inside the tranny, prob the syncros.

I think BlackScreaminMachine is right, your getting ready to have a trany issue. If a clutch is going to slip it will slip on a 4500 dump not into second or third no matter how new or old it is. You put the most shock to a clutch when you dump at the line. I would pull the trans and look at the clutch to see if your PP or your flywheel is burnt. If it's the clutch, you need to upgrade to a twin, with your HP and Tq. i dont know why you have not already. They seem to be the easiest on T56's and they always seem to hold from what i've seen.

Tranny is new also, has around 2500 street friendly miles. I first started out with a Kevlar clutch from our local clutch shop, didnt work so they replaced it with a 1/2 Kevlar, 1/2 Ceramic, didnt work. The speed shop spoke with Spec and told them what I had, and that I didnt want a full on/off race clutch. Spec sent me a complete setup, clutch, pressure plate ect. Well that didnt hold either. Called them up and they said that they were having problems with that set up so they sent me a whole complete different setup, this is a full surface clutch, does not have pucks. Well same thing. This is why I am suspecting that maybe it is something in the hydraulics. The pedal is firm and catches the clutch just a few inches off the floor so ???
