TH350 swap
-to buy the 3rd gen install kit (for the torque arm)
-do some fabrication to your crossmember
-unless you get the th350 with the longer tail shaft, you'll need a driveshaft
-figure out how to run your speedometer
-get a tb and bracket from a 93 LT1 so you can run the kick down cable
-buy a torque converter
-have your PCM A4 DTC's turned off
I'm sure I'm missing stuff, also.

It does not have to be an expensive swap, just make sure you get a GOOD TC so all the effort will be worth it.
I do not run kick down cables. Speedo will be tricky but workable.
