It won't affect your gas mileage much because it is a mild cam. Unless of course it makes you want to push the gas pedal harder then you would get worse gas mileage. I would recommend a tune though when you get it. I was running really rich after I put mine in so I got it tuned. It is so common that any reputable mail order tuner can tune it fine. You will get more power out of it if you tune it as well.
