I already have the CC 306, its a good OTS cam and is widely used, thus good tuning is available, but custom are always preferred, as they are more easily suited to individual needs. As for my spring question, I only ask because I have all these mis-matched parts and want to have to buy as little new stuff as possible.

TIMES????
I hate to see folks say things work for them when they fail to back that up.
Seen guys with strokers running 13s that thought the combo was "working" for them
.I know this is an OLD thread but I have to agree with the guys saying go MUCH smaller, the baby Lingenfelter grind Ellis mentioned probably being best mentioned.
What do I know though I just insist on RESULTS rather than falling into the same old mistakes everyone else loves to make.
I know two local guys with big cams stabbed in stock shortblock LT1s both M6 f-bodies one an actual 306 cam the other was a high lift 230/236, both stock heads. Both 4.10s, both guys got tired of it after the first summer, one sold the car and the other bought a second car so he could again enjoy driving an f-body and the cammed one became a garage queen.
The cam I run is 503ish duration BUT I increased compression which helps offset some of the negatives of a bigger cam.
