If your tires were un balanced it would show up as low as 20 mph, if its 85+ it could be the u joints or the DS is just out of balance, there was a TSB about this who knows if its inforced.

Yah I called the dealership a while back to tell them I wanted a ls1 driveshaft and they were gonna put it in and they go why. I told them there is a TSB and the guy goes let me talk to my driveshaft guy. Nope driveshaft guys says nothing for a 97 camaro only something for a 95 camaro I go its the same car and he told me it wasnt. What a tool. He then told me there was no possible way it was the driveshaft that it was without a doubt the tires. He said this right after I left National Tire and Battery and having a tire balance and alignment done. ahah

Its your driveshaft thats out of balance. I bet you if you push through the vibration it will go away after 100-110 mph. Both my 95' and my 97' T/A had the same problem. GM balances the driveline while in the car mounted to the trans and rear end. The LS1 driveshaft will bolt right in without problem's. But I would take your LS1 driveline and have it balanced before you put it in. It is balanced the same way as the steel LT1 but the aluminum absorbs more of the vibration compaired to the steel one.

I put a LS1 Aluminum DS in mine, and it got rid of all vibration. I have taken it up to 135mph with no vibration at all. Direct bolt in, took 20 min. Look for them in the junkyards, I got mine off of Ebay for $150.

if it vibrates bad I wouldnt go above 85 mph it has a possibitly to crack your tail shaft on your transmission, if it vibrates to bad.

If u have a broken belt in a tire you can get a on and off viration. Just had this last year. Came in at 70 left for the most part at 90. Also can check ball joints cause they also show up more often at higher speeds.
