If you don't have a Cam, your springs should be good. I would get some in there if you come across them cheap.

Before I did mine I was asking all the same questions, and the general answer was it depends on the milage. if you have a rather low milage car then the springs would be "OK", but then I got looking into things and LT4 springs, locks, retainers, and all were rather inexpensive and well worth it for piece of mind knowing they were not longer the weak link...
