Lets face it guys, our cars are becoming rare, kinda like a good looking 3rd gen. You just dont see many around these days.

Long live the LT1!!!!

u sure are one stereo typing dude,

im latino and i had 383 / lt4 headed / th400 / 12 bolt camaro back in 98'
with a 2 stg direct port setup and ran 10's back in that time at HRP
not to mention i also went thru a turbo 96 m6 z28 and i built both engines and cars, and the 383 when i was in hi school
but those LT1 days are gone forever for me, ive moved on to bigger and faster things now

I love my LT1.. And it'll stay LT1 as long as it lives.. Well the block, and the opti will anyway..

Steve,
I dont even know what your car counts as any more, LTX seems like a safe lable.

I'm made the same decision as many others, either a high milage ls1 car or low milage much cheaper lt1 car. I went with the lt1 car and still have many more big plans for it, one day I will own an ls1 ta but I will still hold onto my lt1.

Still looks good for a 97 with 102k miles, now has it's own garage and the engine only has 10k

128,000 miles here, still with factory paint, still looks damned good. I have put this car thru hell and had it up for sale about 4 different times over the years. LT1 Blues are a bitch, but once you get over the fact, its a car thats gonna break everyonce in a while, they are great toys. I still surprise some newbies on my local forum, and random jackasses around town that look down on a measly LT1 car. I have enlightened a couple of people on the design of LT1 tailights.

I have had an LS1 car and a turbo 5.0L, and sold both. Never could quite come to parting with my baby. This car will someday be a collectors item, and I prolly still won't sell it then.

Thanks for being considered a fast *** LT1....

There is another 93 Z28 w/a 396 and a little juice nearing completion in the Waco area.

You would never realize the car had 193,000 on it, on a stock motor he ran a 12.8 NA and 11.7 on the jug.

1995, original paint and 52,000 original miles....... always been garaged and always will be.....

hopefully the only scratches on it soon will be on the bottom of the rear bumper...

sorry about the rancho lift kit in the 2nd pic. it'll go away with motor/tranny weight soon...

lmao @ rancho lift ...dude don't feel bad, the 9" actually raised mine another inch I think, that and it's always been stock height. It's in the shop now getting tweaked, spring hockey pucks are coming out, springs may be cut one coil, not sure yet and the entire suspension tweaked a tad. But she'll sit with about 3/4" clearance all around the rears which I've never seen. It should look mean with the 28x13.50's

Like your plates btw

In Tampa we have very few lt1's with decent #'s. Maybe 4-5 cars. Seems either they are abused and appear slow or some kid buys it with zero money for mods.

I'm up in Spring Hill, 97blkz, and your right, I think I might be able to hit very high 12's with what I have done.

I've never really cruised around Tampa since getting home, but it seems to be the same in Hernando County, a few LT1s, couple of LS1s, not a lot of fbodies around.
