Default Mahle manufacturers of stock LT1 pistons?

Ok guys lets see if some of you guys can give some insight. Were they outsourced to MAHLE? Also wouldn't they have used a cast piston? These look like a better more durable aluminum. Not sure though.

They are Mahle says so right on the underside. They are Hypereutectic, basically a high strength higher silicon content cast piston. Middle ground between basic cast and forged. Quite a good piston so long as you don't let the motor detonate. The high silicon content makes them brittle, detonation can quickly crack them.

ok thats what i was looking for. I found the MAHLE stamp on my old pistons from my block and got inquisitive. I had a ringland break off between the oil control and lower compression ring.
