Mahle manufacturers of stock LT1 pistons?

Mahle manufacturers of stock LT1 pistons? Ok guys lets see if some of you guys can give some insight. Were they outsourced to MAHLE? Also wouldn't they have used a cast piston? These look like a better more durable aluminum. Not sure though.

They are Mahle says so right on the underside. They are Hypereutectic, basically a high strength higher silicon content cast piston. Middle ground between basic cast and forged. Quite a good piston so long as you don't let the motor detonate. The high silicon content makes them brittle, detonation can quickly crack them.

ok thats what i was looking for. I found the MAHLE stamp on my old pistons from my block and got inquisitive. I had a ringland break off between the oil control and lower compression ring.
