Default Got a re-tune at the dyno today....

Pretty excited about the new tune, it runs great, much better. I didn't really pick up any top end, but I really gained across the powerband and gained a bunch of torque.

It was tuned by HARV'S performance down in Whittier CA, if any of you are familiar. He is a real heads up tuner, and is the guy to see around here if Accel DFI is concerned. He used to be the tuner for Team VENOM when they were still racing. I highly recommend him if any of you are local in the SoCal area for DFI or FAST tuning.

Last dyno: 386rwhp/360rwtq (70k miles)
Heads
cc306 cam
STOCK INJECTORS
1 5/8 SHORTY headers/gutted cat
Stock intake elbow
Accel DFI (gen 6)
stock ignition
17 inch wheels

TODAY: 388rwhp/381rwtq (126k miles)
Same Heads
Same cam
SVO 42lb injectors
1 3/4 LONGTUBES/ 3 inch Y
Trickflow intake elbow
Accel DFI (gen 6)
MSD 6A and coil
18 inch wheels

Not magnificent, BUT my accelerated horsepower and hp and tq AVERAGE is much better, unreal in fact. The curves are so smooth, its great, I almost lost it, really, on the way home on a 2-3 shift (all over the road) which has NEVER happened before. A little tire spin or chirp maybe, but not anything taht mad my heart skip a beat.

I am producing about 27 rwhp more at 3k rpm. I picked up 21lb ft at peak, but at 3000 rpm, I picked up about 32-33 rwtq. Its WAY noticable on the street, I have much more usable HP and TQ. The car is already making about 350rwtq @ 3k rpm, where before, it was making about 315rwtq. BEFORE, it took until 4400 rpm to hit 300rwhp, now it hits 300 @ 4100 or so, hitting 200rwhp @3000rpm now, to 3500 as of before.

THE only thing I am concerned about is my springs on the heads are pretty much done.

The car used to produce peak power at 6350 rpm, now the car is producing its peak from 5500 to 6000, falling out at 6k+. SO, I know with a fresh set of springs I could be getting a bit more.

I'll be building a short block here soon (nothing special really) and plan on freshening the heads as well as an upgrade to an LE3 cam. I have to get this thing up over the 400rwhp mark.

After I try to test my luck with a 100 shot though of course....

Not bad for 126k on the shortblock I think.....

Depending on your computer setup, my guy Harvey can tune your car from here in CA. They have even tuned cars in other countries!!!! What they do is connect to the dyno shop at your location via internet, and then your guy makes the pulls on the dyno and Harvey makes the changes.

Pretty sweet.

I can give you his contact info if you are interested.
