So you haven't done a cold air intake to your car yet? The factory air intake on LT1 cars are some form of sad joke.
Why did my 86 Camaro have a dual filter air intake up front, why do LS1 cars have a straight forward intake, and then for some reason the factory LT1 box is retarded.

Yeah, my 86 iroc setup was way better. Don't know why they put that little weeny air box on these cars as if they were a cavalier or something. I modded the air intake setup on my t/a. I have never bought a cold air before. Always made my own. Some flexible air ducting and a conical k&n so I can get air in from all sides rather than just the one corner like the stock intake.

Googled the information below but if this correct you will be in the area of .045/.047 added lift with the total lift .492/.504 These should be in the area and this would also be a good time to move to some better springs IMO.

Camshaft Specs (12551705): 205/207 duration @ 50*, .447/.459" lift, 117 Lobe Seperation Angle

Post #8 just told you how to do it.

If you use the .447/.459 values then the new numbers would be .477/.490

Show off!!! I stand corrected the 10% additional lift would have to be calculated off the lobe lift, I used the existing lift at the valve.
I have to laugh I thought you were wrong until I sat down and did the simple math,

I hate the idea that the additional lift, along with a lighter, more energy efficient roller body makes very little hp difference. Seems like it has to make some sort of difference in the end when further modifications are made like porting and headers. I will give it a shot. Thinking about porting the heads myself since I still have all my porting equipment and then setting up some headers. I bet it will push that car a little better then. That and the way I have the nos set up, I am hoping for 12.5 on slicks. To bad I can't hit that naturally aspirated. I have always preached that nos is cheating and that the true test of manhood is a fella who puts ***** and all into the internal build. Although, I have been there and done that with my last cars and had constant fuel and ignition breakdown problems, not to mention the trannies always taking the ****. An LT1 on laughing gas is the ticket to big fun as long as you can shuck out $50 a week to fill that damn tank. I made my buddy choke on his own slobber last night when I dropped into first at 30 mph. Good Times!!
