I now have Jesel shaft mount 1.6's which are overkill for most people but I do recommend the CC ProMag 7/16 1.6 rockers. Used them for many years with great results. They are easy to set, quiet when running, and strong. I believe they are the best bang for the buck.

Crane has a good spring kit, but nothing for the entire valvetrain. There are too many parts and every setup needs something different.

I run the Crane Golds. I used them in my bolt-on set-up for about 5,000 miles. They are in my stroker now with no problems.

I've heard more good things about pro mags, but I have seen a good deal for crowers recently. They look pretty similar.

As far as the kit, if you're using the stock untouched heads and block, you won't need a pushrod length checker, stock length is fine. Even then, everything in that kit minus the length checker would be $759 or so. Doesn't sound too bad to me since they're all quality parts. Remember, the hotcam kit comes with a cam and a valvespring kit too, though, just no pushrods.

I'm running the Crower Centerline .050 backset rockers. They were the only ones that gave me the correct geometry on .100 longer valves. I had to use 7.350 long pushrods also.
