cost of true duals
My stainless 3" set up was $800ish including the mufflers which were $120/each...Thats including the labor, too...It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't too easy either...Those with Spohn cross brace mounted TAs know how it is...The fabricator had to make a custom X pipe to fit in the dip in the Spohn cross brace, and I have front and rear DS loops...and we also used 2 stainless V band clamps ($43/each) for turbo applications on the collector ends of the headers...

so lets say if i took my two hooker mufflers into a shop and they were just going to order a pipe kit and weld everything up, how much do you think it would cost? for pipes and labor.
I guess it all depends on your set up, specifically your TA...If you are running a stock or stock mounted TA it may be much easier...There's been a lot of people on here with the Jegs/Summit X pipe kits and they have had good success with them...I'm sure someone will chime in on the cost for them...Also, leaving out an X or an H will make it much easier too...

Here is my little list for deciding my exhaust setup that I will build in spring. Something like Alan's is a little out of my reach now that I may be going to a different cam. I have not yet decided on a muffler. I do have it narrowed down to three choices though. Once I build this I will coat it with POR-20. Should come out nice.

Two Bullet mufflers - $36.99 each
Two 3inch flanges, gaskets and hardware - $25ish I really have no idea too long ago
Labor - Free, me and some friends did all the work in his driveway but then I wanted to have them run over the axle because of how ungodly loud it was in the car soo...
Megz tips - $190 yeah I know they were stupidly expensive but I couldn't find any other 3 inch inlet tips and they look good
Labor to have a shop run them over the axle - $220
So rounded up for shipping $325 for dumps including mufflers and $735 for over the axle and this is not including all the misc crap I ended up replacing at the time because "I figured I might as well while I'm here"

does anyone sell pipes that go after the muffler over the axles to the back of the car to put tips. instead of dumping before the axles i would want to have go all the way back and out the tips

You can get the entire Bassani True Dual Setup for $779 in aluminized steel or $949 for stainless steel. It goes from the headers through an X pipe, and then out the back in the same location as the stock single pipe. Looks like it fits very well from pictures, and it sounds great.
I'd buy that system before paying $1200 for a custom job at a shop, which may or may not fit as well or sound as good, plus you can install it yourself.

They make a X pipe for F bodies?? Where can you buy that from??
