Looks like it's just a resistor...if you want timing adjusted, I would do it in the Tune, not by a little plug. These cars can be bitchy enough..

im just looking for a little something to get into the high 13s. so i figured that the air temp mod was kind of a wont hurt but might not help mod. and for under 40 bucks why not.

You can buy the resister from radio shack for less than $5. Its quite the waste of money. A tune will get you much more without having to 'trick' a sensor into advancing timing minimally.

If it is an OBD1 LT1, the intake air temp does not alter the timing, lowering the temp the PCM "sees" will only make the car run richer. The OBD2 LT1 does have an Intake Air Temp correction table. Which, btw, is all zeros for the LT4. These cars run too righ @ WOT from the factory anyway, so that resistor should slow it down. OBD2 LT1s won't advance the timing from colder reported intake air temps, but can prevent retarding timing due to elevated intake air temps. The correct way to fix that is by working on that table. I doubt Hypertech alters that table.

Good luck, Ed
