ill make sure of that..whats weird is that it clears up from 6k-6500 rpm. I know it's not valve float...but it did the same thing with a different valvetrain and optispark. i dont know what bug is still getting it a rebuild later.

Check the fuel pressure, it may be dropping off at high RPM's.

even if it picks back up after 6k? it doesn't all add up..but I will certainly check that while I'm at it.

Hey, I talked to Jason yesterday...Sorry about your miss issue....I'll throw out some other stuff just for ***** and giggles....Disconnect the MSD and run it without...I've seen some goofy stuff with ignition boxes...Jason said that the a/f was good throughout the run so I'd think fuel isn't an issue...Check and recheck the plugs/gaps, etc...Mine are at .035" with 11.2:1. Check/recheck plug wires/routing...Valve lash set correctly?

Jason said he thought it was missing during some part throttle pulls, but I could've heard wrong...These things are usually something stupid...Good luck...I'll keep on thinking of stuff and get back to you on the cell..

I had the same problem at 5200 then it would clear up...went to the dealer had them put on AC DELCO plug wires on and do a top engine fuel injection service to clear up the injectors and the car run throughout the range like brand new. How are your plugs burning? The plugs can tell you alot about an engines status. just my .02

turns out that the wiring from the msd box was bad..ignition cleared up, but not before tossing a loose rocker stud out of place and cracking a spring. we're gonna put new springs on it and finish the tuning. we're at 360 rwhp through a 4200 stall LOOSE converter and its on a mustang dyno. i believe the readings are lower on those, but im not sure. still hoping to go 10.9x with 3200lb raceweight

Hey man, good to hear about the MSD wiring being the issue! Its always the dumb little stuff that is a pain in the ***...Put some springs on it and have at it...And yeah the Mustang dyno usually reads lower than the Dynojets, plus your converter will eat up some power also...Don't get hung up on numbers, get your tune down and let the track be the judge...They do have the 1/4 mile blast program in their dyno...See if they will let you make a 1/4 mile pull...Its a lot of fun...

Definitely have them simulate a 1/4 mile blast. It can point out lots of things that normal dyno tuning cant. This is why some people never even put their cars on the dyno, they just tune on the track by logging passes, making changes, logging passes, etc.

What plugs are you running? I know golen recommends autolite 103's. Although i am not sure in your case since you have different heads. Also, I am not sure why it would miss through 5,000 rpm then hit again after 6 but I am running the dnyaspark opti and it is the best purchase I ever made.
In regards to your MSD I have 6A unit running on my ford ranger and lately started missing. I replaced everything and it was still missing so I finally unhooked the MSD to see what would happen and it ran perfect, so sometimes those boxes can go bad.
