The manifold is coated in oil inside and it's not helping performance any.

Yeah, my 94 is that way. The line runs from the valve cover to the TB. Then there is a U shaped line from the PCV to the line right next to it. So I am really confused now!

How is that you go from the PCV to the Valve cover? What happens to the opening where the other end of the PCV line once connected and the fitting on the TB where the fresh air line once went?

This makes no since what so ever? Call me an idiot... but im confused.

Valve cover to TB is fresh air hose. that is part of the PCV system, not the PCV itself. On 94 and newer LT1s the PCV valve located in the intake goes into a hard line and comes around to the front of the intake where a nipple is. People install the catch can between that line.

Ok, I got mine working. I thought I would share for the 94's our there. We have that U shaped line from the PCV that dumps right into the intake. I have mine connected in that U line with the direction of flow from the PCV to the intake.

I will get some pics of it later.

Why not just do it the way speeddemon has it? Is the PCV system that significantly different from 94 to 97?

Yes. The way his set up works was to connect from the PCV to the valve cover. However I have a fresh air line that connect the valve cover to the TB. On the left side of the intake there are three lines, one for vacuum on the brake booster, the PCV and the other end of that. I felt that I should leave my lines the way the were and just add the seperator in line with what is there, and not re-route hoses.

After all, mine is working and catching oil from getting into the intake.

Ok here ya go.

That amount of oil is after two trips to Charlotte and back. About 200 miles roughly.

So if you take that U shaped line off, you will have the line start from the PCV then go up to the seperator. From the seperator you would go to where the other end of that U line was. It is had to see in the pics. But if you remove that vacuum line from the brake booster you can see both fittings better and it will be easier to mount everything up to.
Hope this helps.

I hate the way the hoses run, doesnt look the greatest IMO. I loved the way I had it routed when it was on the other side, which was wrong. Oh well.

Yeah thanks Bryan. I figured that's how it was done I just was making sure. W/ a boosted application I'm running that line straight to the vented catch can and the barb fitting capped off.

Not a problem. As for dumping it... um I just put it on the other day, so I dont know, lol. I am going to empty it today in the yard some where. Shhh... dont tell the EPA They don't seem to not like that too much these days.

As for the boosted application, you are on your own there, lol. I have no clue on that stuff really.

Did you put the purolator filter on the fresh air line? Mine was still getting alot of oil in the intake at WOT through that too, I could see the oil streaks on my TB where it came out of the fresh air hose.

I did have it on the fresh air line at first and I did catch some stuff. However, I found out that the fresh air line flows both way so I took it off. (because the filter was only flowing one direction) If there was a filter that flows both ways, I would try running it.
