It's almost time.
I have been gathering parts for my car since November. My dd has been down but I finaly fixed it. This week I should finish cleaning out the garage and getting my tools in order. I will be installing a 3000 stall converter, long tube headers, off road Y-Pipe with cutout, drag shocks, and a 3.73 rearend to replace the 3.23 one.
It ran 14.1 @ 98.9 back in august on an 80 degree night with very high humidity. I'm hoping to be deep in the 13's with the new mods and some cool air. Next on the list is a tune, drag radials, ewp, and some minor weight reduction.
If the engine lives through this I will make some cosmetic improvements before freshening it up and doing heads and cam. I wish some of the quality engine builders would offer a layaway plan like performabuilt is doing for the transmisions.

sounds nice. Will be a definatly change in performance. WIth just that I dont think youll be in the low 13s though. I have a pretty beefy street cam, LTs, ory dumps and a stall similar to yours, and im looking for mid-low 12's. The difference is definatly the cam though. The gears should help ya out though. Good luck, oh and take some pics throughout the install. Good Luck and good wrenching
