Bought the '01 T/A , (super clean , totally stock, still has the "dealer must remove " plastic on the carpet) 2 years ago with 48k for 14,500 . Mods hurt a car's value more than they help unless it really radical and hasn't been driven alot. I'd pass on that LT1. When you see a lot of mods on a car , it most likely has been beat on pretty hard .

Mods to make a car more money..

I wouldn't pay more than 7.5k for it.

Cars are not an investment(besides older collectables). I had about 2k in my GTP and didn't even TRY to sell it for more because of it. Mods don't add value unless you can find that small croud that want it modded.

LOL I wouldn't pay $7,000 for it. Hell KBB price on my 01 SS with 60k is less than 12k. I seriously wouldn't pay $8,000 for a 10 year year old car. If you are buying a car to mod or daily drive you could get a 98-99 Z or Formula for around 7000-7500

Please post in the correct section (LT1-LT4 Modifications).

This thread has nothing to so with the General LSX Automobile Discussion section.

Thanks,
Craig.

He's had it forsale before at that price with no takers. The car looks nice, but is worth about have of what hes asking for it. Mods don't help in the price. You don't build a car and sell it for anything close to what you have into it!!!!!

I payed $5000 for a 1996 Trans Am with 33,600 miles.

Was a little beat up but ran great! Put about 1400 miles on it and now I'm dumping about $17,000 into it! I KNOW I WILL NEVER SEE A PENNY OF THE MODS I PUT ON! SUCKS BUT... IF YOU WANT TO PLAY YOU HAVE TO PAY!!!!!!

Some people just see the money they spent not what its worth!

If the motor was new, I would say it is a good deal. However with having more than 85,000 miles, it definatly isn't worth more than $9,000.

Damn did I pay to much? 8k for a 95 Z with every option minus leather completely unmolested with 49k in spring of 04'....Although it dosent matter to me I think that was pretty close to what they were going for at the time in my area.

I got my 1997 LT1 T/A with 38,500 miles on it, woman driven, never abused, basically mint for 11,500 in 2006...I know I probably payed way too much, but it was so clean it was amazing. Also a virgin car, so it ran perfect. Still runs great. I personally like the LT1 being it the under dog and the body style is less common.

I tend to be kind of cheap myself, I wouldn't pay that for an LS1 car. To each their own I guess. I will admit that I like the looks of the LT1 cars better than the LS1's but again it is more a personal choice there.

Quick Reply: Whats this LT1 worth???I say its way to high
