Ok, I have searched, and searched, and searched, and I can't find anything on this.
How do you go about removing the throttle body shaft(the thing the butterflys ride on)? I am trying to clean it up real good so I would like to be able to remove it. I'm hoping someone has done this before.
thanks in advance

I dont know for sure, but I bet if you remove it you might damage the shaft bushings and cause a vacuum leak on the shaft. Plus I bet the shaft is held in place by some type of retainer, and my money says that its a non removable type, not like some snap ring you can just take off

You would have to remove the screws on the throttle plates. Then remove the tps sensor and the retaining plate behind the sensor which is a real pain. Then just slide the rod out. By the way good luck with the screws 3 of my 4 snapped. Just clean your's up real good. No real benefit in taking it apart unless it currently is having problems or you are going to have it bored larger.
