i say 3600 to 3800 range but it all depends on how aggresive your cam is and your setup

Not sure what the size of my cam is, its a mild type of cam though (its the GM Hotcam). Should i go more towards the 3600-3800 or whats my best bet. Also, what does it all help, im new to the camaro scene, thanks!

i got a 3000 and it was cool at first but now im used to it and i could go for a 3600. my 3000 drives exactly like my stocker except it footbrakes higher and is more intense from a roll. i feel the need for more though.

I ran a 3800 yank on my last bird, and I blew that 10 bolt to kingdom come. No major mods.

3600 - 3800 is too big for a gm hot cam. its a mild cam when i was going with my old setup which was lt4 hot cam kit with ported heads stock bottom end i talked to fuddle racing and they said 2800 stall would be perfect for that cam and setup. if i was you i would look into 2800 to 3000 or maybe 3200 the most with the hot cam

Depends more on the cam than anything. 2800 or 3000 is the highest you should go.

For the best match get to a dyno and then find a converter with 500-700 rpm below the torque peak...even as much as 900 rpm below the peak if the car is more street than strip....Its a good guideline I got once from PI (Vig)...

it all depends on your plans. is the car doing to stay that way or is it going to a head/cam car or you going to get a power adder. with bolt on i say 3200 would be good

I think ill get the 3000-3200. With that, will i need a 12-bolt or will how long will my 10 bolt hold up, it was rebuilt and has only 20,000 on it? Also where is the best place to get a 3200 at?

with bolt ons you are putting down alot of torque and power to really break the 10 bolt. maybe happened to someone before but i dont think thats a common thing that happens. if you want you can get a ta rear end girdle it keeps the bearings and everything in the rear end tight and also stronger axles. for the best place to get the converter yank, edge or fuddle. i got my old stall from fuddle, john helped me out alot i told him what i was going to do with the car and he helped me pick the right converter.
