cut out

Are cut outs worth it?What company besides qtp would make electric cut outs?

yea they're worth it..dmh and there's one other company that makes them. the qtp's are the best from what i have heard personally.

Im putting on my 3'' jegs and putting a QTP electric door on top of it...It seems to be constructed very nicely...however if you install it on your Y pipe I heard its extremely raspy...but VERY friggin loud! (So I'm doing that

)

I bought a pair of McCord Power plates, their construction is very similar to the QTP, but they have a light that tells you if they are closed or open, pretty neat. Plus they are WAY cheaper. other than that I heard that DHM are better than either of those. Dont know for sure, but thats what I hear

If I were to get one, it would be McCord Power plates. But I think it's annoying to have basically open headers. Very deep with no tone.

Save money, buy a better muffler, get the power all the time without having to flip a switch.

Agreed, I had one on my car for three years and I got tired of it after 1 year. I gave mine away and got a nice catback.

Thank you for the feed back.I put my cut out on today and it sounds ungodly(sweeeeetttt!)now every kid (ricers mainly) are afraid to race me.Talking about one hell of an intimidator.My girl loves it too.I also put on an 80serries flowmaster(catback).

Nice, that was quick. Did you do an electric or manual.. what brand.

It's funny how when your car is loud, you get all the attention. I can rape most of the crapboxes out here but no one really noticed my car because of the quiet hooker cat back. Now with the loudmouth on it, people are like "damn, that sounds like a racecar" lol.

I went manual but I looked up DMH,QTP,&McCord Power plates.I will order probbaly from MPPnext week and put it on.The cut out was from summit. It was like 30 bucks.
