electrical trouble I need a better battery or whole new electrical system the problem is i dont know anything about anything when it comes to the electrical side. I figure it has to be the alternator but i think maybe a need battery or wiring as well.
Its a Boosted lt1 (93) and its been dying randomly and has a hard time starting in general what kind of upgrades should i make to the system.
I heard something about optima dry cell batteries but i cant find them anywhere?
Is there any type or upgraded alternator or ignition system to make it much easier to start?

As far as your alt cant you test the output of it somehow with a meter?
I know I have had issues with alternator internals before. Is the power dipping while running, or starting?

when running its fine never had a problem. It just always hesistates to start something more than others but since its been cold and i would take it for a short ride it would then die happend 3 times. I mean i just dont want to buy a battery for no reason if it isnt the battery and since i dont know much about the electrical system i would rather see if anyone knows this good.

one way to test the alternator is this: strart the car and let it run for a minute or 2. then unhook your battery cable. start turning things on (head lights, radio, dome light, etc.), if the car stays running then the alt is ok. if it dies, your basically relying on the battery to keep up.
