Default Quick EGR Question

Well I have discovered that my egr has been disconnected for who knows how long and I reconnected everything today with a new hoses and egr solenoid. My question is this off idle my car still has alittle hesitation and wont spin the tires over until the upper rpm range. I checked vaccum at the intake to solenoid and it held vaccum but when I connected the pump to the the egr diapham and supply vaccum the engine doesnt hesitate and it wont hold vaccum. Does this mean that my diapham is cracked?
Thanks for the help
-Brandon

So the EGR valve wasn't holding vacuum? It's most likely open at idle and gives you hesitation off idle cause it's open too much. Sounds like you need a new valve.

Yeh I sucks, do you get a SES light? My EGR valve and solenoid are messed up too. When I cruise at constant speed, my SES light pops on cause I think it gets stuck.

Get one from someone on here, don't buy a new one -- unless you want to, cheapest one new is $50. I just got one from a member and it's on the way.

EGR doesn't work with LT headers. Not enough back pressure to open the valve

I would just buy block off plates and get a tune, that gives you more performance and solves your problem without setting a SES light

I guess some guys have forgotten the reason for EGR

Maybe we need to do state emissions. This is Virginia we're talking about.
