I hear ya.. some guy out here had some old Big-Block Buick that was something .030 over.. he challeneged my car cause it had a "little 350" in it. Long story shory, his 4000lb+ car got it's dick beat in the dirt. I can see doing .030 over to say that you have a big Engine, but that goes along the lines of braggin for who has the biggest ***** on the block..
I am going over 400ci, and running with that, just to make a little sleeper out of an LT1 style Camaro..
That and the LSX Engines do pull some wicked power for what they are, so why not go big and beat them with their own ****, still representing the LT1 looks though..

Only reason I went with a 355 is because SRP doesn't make a standard bore piston, or I couldn't find any with the rotating assembly kits I was looking at.

I got SRP Pistons in mine..4.000 Bore. They even got the little Teflon Skirts on them.

From what I have been told, they are the same as this, just they got bought by Speedpro, or something like that..

The only reason I want to eventually make my car a 355 LE1 is because its an all new rotating assembly with forged parts.
This means its basically a new motor, bottom and top.

So it will be super strong again, and reliable.
As far as the extra bore, I agree it doesn't make that much of a difference.
On a two stroke maybe, but not on a 4 stroke.

I guess they just didn't have them listed in the kits I was looking at. BTW, those pistons are forged aluminum TRW pistons. Speedpro bought out TRW a while back. Speedpro didn't buy out SRP.
