well ive been reading a lot about longtube headers and a lot of people have trouble with heating issues and fittment issues, so for about the same amount of money would nos be a better buy. it should make twice the amount of power but im not sure how safe nos is on the engine. i think the wet system would be the best for me, im not taking it the strip and im only going to use it if a cobra or something like that is next to me at a stop light. So what do you guys think about getting NOS for my LT1

Well I would reccommend the longtubes because you get the enjoyment of them all the time youre driving quite hoenstly. You can put a good shot on the lt1's though and it wont phase it a bit. So it just depends what youre looking for.

All engines work better with a free flowing exhaust. Headers would be perfect for your application. When nitrous is used, it has to release it gases through the exhaust freely, thus headers and nitrous....best. If your looking for the quick win...Nitrous Oxide wins hands down. Although headers is a great investment, the decision is yours...if your wallet...or your wife let you...get both and buckle your safety belt...Good luck on your future purchase.

I've always used this philosophy...(Work on the weakest links first)..Don't get me wrong though...nitrous will work great with your setup, remember nitrous works so well on our cars because the PCM does not know its there.

they both have their advantages. i would go with headers because you get more power all the time, a better sound, and they r not as hard on the motor. but nitrous will make more power for the same price and will get you better times at the strip. its really up to you, but if you want good street power i would go with headers

i would go with lts if you are trying to spend the same on each. unless you buy used, a properly set up nitrous system with the safety features is quite a bit more than your avg header cost

BOTH! Although naawwwzzzz is good it pales in comparison to having the headers and nitrous. But make sure you are ready for a PITA install if you buy headers because you might just find that you will need more that just the headers to do the swap once ur in there. I replaced plugs, wires, y-pipe, motor mounts, !a/c!, a broken temp sensor, and !AIR! !EGR!, all because it needed to be done while the headers wer going in.

If you are a casual weekend worrior that just wants to beat a mustang here and there get the Nawzzzzz. The other option (which i personally felt was the way to go in my app.) will run you ABOUT $2K and this will be a good starting point in any car build up.

I have 117k on my car, NO2 was the 1st thing I did and I loved it. NO2 all the way. IT will give you more hp than headers ever will. Go with TNT or NX and do a wet kit you will love it
