help with gas gauge

is there anyway to reset the gas gauge so that when i put 5 bucks in it it will not show almost a full tank anbd that is from .25

Yea, I pretty much got it to when it says half on the Gauge, that's actually a quarter Tank..

its the shape of the tank that causes this.
