gear size?

How can I tell if the gears set I recieved is the 4.10 I ordered? Thanks

count the ring and how many are on the pinion then do some math grr forget what it was took manual trannies last semester

count the ring..then count the pinion....then divide.....pinion into the ring gear...............it will come out approx/in fractions....hence:4:10, 3:73, etc.

Okay there's 41 teeth on the ring and 12 on the pinion, what does trhat make it?
