water pump

You are probably ok, but it would be a good idea to fix that soon.
It's not overly difficult, just try not to spill all the coolant on the optispark.
Consider upgrading to an electric water pump while you are at it.

well if you are going to go through the trouble of pulling off your pump you might as well get a new opti, the opti doesnt fail because the water pump leaks, it fails because it corrodes due to being leaked on, so it might be fine right now but in a few months after it has corroded you will have to pull everything back off and reinstall a new opti.

Why on earth would you take the crank pulley and AIR pump off?

The crank pulley only comes off when you need to get to the timing cover.
The rest of the bolts are easily accessible using a socket wrench and 3" extension.
