That's correct. Cars over 10 years old do not have to report mileage. I found that out on my 97 SS when registering insurance and tags. They didn't ask and didn't care either when i asked them about it. Learn something new....

I see no where in the law where you are exempt from notifying the buyer about inaccuracies in the odometer. The law only provides exemption when the odometer is accurate.

is it possible to swap odometers? by that i mean i need a new cluster, so can i swap what i have in my current car to the new cluster? my odo reads 76k which is pretty accurate but the ones im looking at are over 150k, so can i swap them?
