Default Help me decide.

I have two choices for cars. One is a 97 stripper M6 Z28 with 75k miles. The other is a 98 fully optioned A4 Z28 with 98k miles. Both are factory stock. My question is which one would you guys buy?

I personally would get the 97. Not just because it has lower miles. I love my LT1. And I love the low end torque that the LT1 has over the LS1. Don't get me wrong though. The LS1 is a ******* AWESOME engine!!! But I wouldn't pay the extra money for one until the new camaro comes out. Plus, what are the prices for the two cars you are looking at? That will help alot with others giveing you advice on which one you should get. Good luck.

Unless there is an ungodly price difference, definitely the LS1

yea it depends on the price, and if gas is a concern cause you will get better gas mileage with the 6 speed don't know if your worried about gas but its somethin to think about. the lt1 gets my vote just cause its a 6 speed if the ls1 was a m6 i would say get it.

The 98 is about five hundred dollars more than the 97. Also MPG does not matter to me.

if MPG doesn't matter and you don't care if its an A4 or M6 then get the ls1, but test drive them both you might really like bangin gears in a 6 speed. how much are they? just wondering.

I would like to have a M6 on the side besides my A4, just my preference. I am thinking about picking up a M6 and just moderately tweaking it, and leaving my current car an A4 with the built Engine as the fast car.

If you want to shift your own gears but have a slower car then the LT1, or if you want a faster car and don't want to shift get the LS1. Don't expect the stock 98k tranny to last forever though.
