You can go through Scroggin Dickey (Site Sponsor) or GMPartsdirect. Usually they are about 20% over cost. I think I paid about $60 for my new timing set from a dealership (with an employee discount) about two years ago.

The price for everything on GMPartsdirect is:
Crank Sprocket -- $24.33
Cam Sprocket -- $31.72
Timing Chain -- $27.62
A little cheaper -- but GMPartsdirect usually takes forever to ship. About a week after they receive the order. Call up Scroggin Dickey (Site Sponsor) at 1.800.456.0211 and give them the part numbers and they should have it a wee cheaper, and ship quicker.

Stock is fine but the double roller is better but you have to upgrade to an electric waterpump. You also have to clear a little material in the timing chain cover. The sprocket off the cam is gone and this setup frees up about 10hp. I guess i wanted the double roller for the power i'm putting out and the peace of mind is great. Just my .02
