Default 1st time to the track with problems

made my first pass down the 1/4 in the new car. Ran 13.50 at 108 on a 2.2 60' running pug rich. Bairly got into 4th at the trap in a 6-speed. I was expecting 12.50 at 115 or so on a 1.9 60'. Still havent learned how to launch at the track. I launched at around 3500, slipped the clutch and rolled on the throttle. Needs about a 4k launch with less slip and more throttle. I need a tune bad too, motor completely falls off at 6k when motor is warm. Pulls hard to 6500 when the motor and air are cold. I did outrun a cam and bolt-on 6-speed ls1 who layed down a 13.70, he was also running street tires and trapping 106.

The car really needs some gear and to me leaned out, advanced timing. feels like its got 2:73s in a 6-speed.

Maybe next time I can play with some 12s.

UPDATE::

car ran like total crap today, lugging all through the rpm range. I decide to take the negative terminal off the battery for an hour. hour goes bye and I put it back on, I tighten the positive side and arc the wrench on the alternator. I then play with the aeromotive fuel pressure regulator take it for a spin, same deal. I come back and put the regulator back the way it was. Take it for another spin and wala pulls hard to 6500 again. drive for about 10 min and get on it and it bairly misses at 6k at full temp. Now the car is back running the same way it did when I bought it, and the service engine light is now off. Then I decide to take the cutout off. Start the car and it acts like its got a 255 255 cam in it having to use the throttle to keep it idling. get back home and put the cutout on, and the car is fine.

All this completely blows my mind.

I hope your racing at 10,000 ft to run those times, expecially the cam only LS1. My dad's car ran faster than that stock.

running at rusk in texas prolly 1200ft. Ls1 was having major traction issues. I blame mine on the 60ft and running a nitrous tune with an n/a motor. falls flat on its face at 6k.

Get that thing dyno tuned, and run a mallory box so you don't kill ur n/a power, even so pullin 2-3 degrees shouldn't hurt power that bad, so I'm guessing your tune is way off.

tune is off big time, no power after 5800. I dont even know where to start. I think im just gonna send the computer to pcm4less and let them do their magic, play with the fuel regulator and hope its not the opti doing all this.

anyone have these problems with similar modded car.

also the car seems to run real good at around 170* the higher the temp gets the worse the car runs.

took it out today and runs like crap, real rough. feels like its loading up or only hitting on 7 cylinders. Ran like crap at every temp.

I also have an obd1 computer with obd2 pin connector so cant just go to autozone to see what might be wrong.

this sucks, this car needs to be a beast again and its prolly something simple

another thing thats weird, ever since I bought the car the service engine light has been on and about 2-3 weeks ago it went off for a day then back on.

car started out with a little miss around 6k, now it misses anything over 1/2 throttle. it revs pretty clean with no load on it.
